The Business Development Agency of Karlovy Vary Region (KARP)

The Business Development Agency of Karlovy Vary Region (KARP) was established exclusively for the purpose of securing the implementation of the Strategy of the Development of the Karlovy Vary Region and of coordinating activities connected with the development of business within the region. KARP’s activities complement the operation of the regional office of CzechInvest and the Chamber of Commerce and work towards the advancement of efforts made by the region as well as individual towns.

Over the long term, the main idea behind KARP’s activities is to accelerate the conversion of the regional economy from traditional trades, industries and business operations to new fields of business that are globally competitive and that follow the principles of innovative business activities. This goal involves every single field of business and even smaller companies because innovations have their place in every line of business and in companies of all sizes. Innovations clearly lead to better productivity and a higher number of jobs.
