The government approved twenty OP PIK support programs

The Ministry of Industry and Trade in relation to applicants and beneficiaries of the Operational Programme Enterprise and Innovation for Competitiveness OP (PIK) uses a subdivision of the program, being the so—called support programs. At its today´s meeting, the Government approved 20 out of 24 support programs within the OP PIK that provide Czech entrepreneurs the opportunity to draw about 120 billion CZK (EUR 4.331 billion).

In addition to the basic characteristics and objectives, each program includes support for a more detailed definition of potential beneficiaries, information about supported and unsupported activities with requirements for submission of project plans and other details. Detailed information will be available on the Ministry's website www.mpo.cz in the section of business development.

Updated version of the OP PIK was sent to the European Commission for final approval on November 28 2014. Despite the guarantee by the European Commission that all operational programs submitted by the end of 2014 will be approved, ratification is still pending. The reason is a new condition for approval from January 2015, which mandates the Czech Republic to demonstrate progress in the implementation of the Civil Service Law. The MIT, however, still envisages that complications regarding the approval will be successfully resolved on time, and that the first calls for the OP PIK will be announced in April 2015.

"We continue to intend announcing the first calls for the OP PIK in April. We believe that the Ministry for Regional Development in Brussels pushes for maximum performance of approval guarantees provided by the Commission to programs sent by the end of 2014” said the Minister of Industry and Trade Jan Mládek.
